About
Florida Native, Paul Fleming, grew up fishing local lakes, backwater canals and coastlines under the watchful eye of his father. His days on the water were not just a bonding experience for the two. Fishing became a natural hobby that quenched his thirst for adventure.
During his high school years, Paul’s charisma shined in his extracurricular activities. He joined the Student Government Association (SGA) and hosted events that focused on enhancing student life and provided support to other clubs and organizations. This sparked another passion – mass media. He learned skills like script writing, lighting, camera operation and audio engineering just to name a few.
Upon graduating high school, Paul sought a career in marine mechanics, where his knowledge of boating was put into play. The skills and experience he gained working for local marinas, boatyards and marine dealers prepared him for a prestigious career with one of South Florida’s largest boat manufacturers, Intrepid.
Over the past ten years with Intrepid, Paul has transformed his fishing skills from hobby to craft. His knack for stalking kingfish made him the perfect candidate for a tournament-fisherman. He competed in many local tournaments, and placed 12thnationally in the Southern Kingfish Association. He also developed an annual fishing event for the youth in his community to learn more about how to be responsible anglers, marine ecosystems and how to be a conservation steward.
Most recently, he’s combined his passion for fishing and mass media. That’s why he teamed up with his friends to create FPN Outdoors. He’s excited to see FPN Outdoors thrive and looks forward to covering (and participating in) the many fishing adventures that lie ahead.
